Moran Cerf is a professor of neuroscience and business at the Kellogg School of Management and the neuroscience program at Northwestern University. He studies patients undergoing brain-surgery to examine behavior, emotion, decision making and dreams. Dr. Cerf is also a member of the institute on complex systems.Dr. Cerf holds a Ph.D in neuroscience from Caltech, as well as an MA in Philosophy and a B.Sc in Physics. His research uses methods from neuroscience to understand the underlying mechanisms of our psychology.

Dr. Cerf holds multiple patents and his works have been published in wide-circulation academic journals such as Nature, as well as popular science journals such as Scientific American Mind, Wired, New Scientist and more. Additionally, his work has been portrayed in numerous media and cultural outlets such as CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, NPR, Time, MSNBC, and dozens of others. He has been featured in venues such as the Venice Art Biennial and China’s Art, Science and Technology association, and has contributed to magazines such as Forbes, The Atlantic, Inc., and others. He has made much of his research accessible to the general public via his public talks at TED, PopTech, Google Zeitgeist, DLD and other venues, gathering millions of views and a large following.

Dr. Winslow Sargeant

Dr. Winslow Sargeant is Managing Director of S&T, LLC, a firm supporting investment and business development for early-stage growth companies in cybersecurity, energy, communications, capital formation, and education.

From 2010-2015, he served as Chief Counsel for Advocacy in the US Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy. President Obama appointed him to this positon in August 2010. He was unanimously confirmed by the US Senate in November 2011.

From 2006-2010, Dr. Sargeant served as Managing Director for Venture Investors, LLC, an early-stage venture capital firm in Madison, Wisconsin. He served as Program Manager from 2001-2005 at the National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Office.

Prior to NSF, Dr. Sargeant co-founded Aanetcom, a fabless semiconductor chip company. He served as Associate Adjunct Professor in electrical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania from 2000 to 2005.

Dr. Sargeant is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) and Northeastern University (Boston, MA). He is a member of Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, New Jersey) President’s Leadership Council.

Dr. Sargeant currently serve as Chair of MyQVO, an early-stage educational technology company. He is the Vice President for Advocacy on the International Council of Small Business Board of Directors. Dr. Sargeant received the inaugural 2002 Wisconsin Distinguished Young Alumni Award and was a 2003 Outstanding Alumni Awardee at Northeastern University. He was a 2014 Wisconsin Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award winner.

Dr. Sargeant received the 2014 IEEE George F. McClure Citation of Honor (Region 2) award for his dedicated representation of small business. He earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University; and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. Dr. Sargeant is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 11).

His career in Pertamina started in 1989 and was trusted to hold a number of strategic positions, namely Deputy Director of Distribution (2007-2008), Senior Vice President of CSS (2009-2010), Senior Vice President of HR Development (2011-2012), and President Director of Pertamina Trans Kontinental (2012-2014).

To realise the dream of bringing Vietnamese coffee to international markets, specifically the US, Nguyen, the founder of PhinDeli brand, determined to own a particular town that attracts the attention of the media so as to amplify the impact of the brand name and make PhinDeli the capital of Vietnamese coffee in the US. Cheryl Goh

Erik Meijer

Erik Meijer is a Dutch national, currently residing in Indonesia for the past 23 years.

Throughout his 25+ year career, Erik has worked in all aspects of the TMT (Telecoms, Media & Technology) space, as well as at an airline. Starting his professional career in KPN Royal Dutch Telecom, Erik soon moved to Indonesia where he spent 11 years with the county’s largest mobile telecom operator Telkomsel and later became the Deputy President Director of Bakrie Telecom, which he helped grow from 1 to 14 million customers in 5 years.

He then moved on to become the Chief Commercial Officer of the country’s second-largest telco Indosat, EVP Marketing & Sales / Chief Commercial Officer at Indonesia’s flag-carrier airline Garuda Indonesia, and representative for South-East Asia of Qatar-based multinational telecom group Ooredoo. End 2015, Erik moved on to the Australian telecom giant Telstra where he is the Country Managing Director for Indonesia, as well as the President Director of their joint venture company with PT Telkom called TelkomTelstra.

In parallel to some of the jobs mentioned above, Erik also was the Chief Commercial Officer of media holding company VIVA (which owned 2 national TV stations and a leading online news portal), became the first CEO of online news portal VIVAnews, and was a member of the Investment Board of Venture Capital companies Nusantara Ventures and Nusantara Incubation.

Besides his formal job, Erik is also an Honorary Advisor to the Indonesian Minister of Tourism.

Erik was a Founding Board Member of the Indonesian Advertisers Association (APPINA – Asosiasi Perusahaan Pengiklan Indonesia) as well as an Honorary Advisory Board Member of the Harvard Review Indonesia Intellectual Business Community, and continues to be active as a Mentor of Indonesian start-up companies through the Founders’ Institute, Indonesian Angel Investor Club Angel-eQ, and other initiatives.

He is also a regular guest lecturer at universities and speaker at seminars and conferences.

Erik was voted as Indonesia’s Marketeer of the Year (Insan Pemasar Indonesia) 2006 by the Cakram Advertising Magazine, Creative Marketer 2007 by MIX Marketing Magazine, one of the Top-10 Figures in Indonesia’s Technology Industry 2009 by TechLife magazine, and awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Indonesia Cellular Awards 2007. He has received several other awards in the fields of Marketing and Public Relations.
